Amazing $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection is back for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. Primary Feature

The big draw is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Entry Level

The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section.
